One Year Later....

I am so bad at this keeping up thing... esp when Brittney doesn't remind me... yeah that's the excuse I will go with! I knew it had been awhile since I had posted, but 1 year? Wow... Bad! Now I get to try to remember what has happened in that year!

The biggest thing is probably Nic going to Japan for 6 months. During that time I moved back to Missouri to live with my parents and save some money. Thank goodness they let me come back! Lol. I had a great time seeing family and friends and O'Reilly's even let me transfer to my old store to work! I enjoyed seeing old coworkers and having something to keep me busy. As much as I enjoyed being back I really really really missed my hubby and way overjoyed when he got back in July! Of course I had to find us a new house (with the wonderful help of my parents) and that was a challenge. Managed to find a great one though! We love our new house and our neighborhood! We live 10 miles outside city limits and the forest is our backyard! Yay! I have this thing called fresh air! Woo!

The new house! See all the pretty trees?

A picture from Japan! I wanna go!

I got promoted and am now the assistant manager at my store! Woot! We recently got a new manger, which is good and bad. I like both of them. I still talk to my old manager all the time! Nic got promoted too and is now a Cpl! Oh and we purchased a new (to us) vehicle in Feb if 2013! So now we have two cars, which is super nice! Got the motorcycle paid off while Nic was in Japan so that's one less bill! The second car is paid for too! So down to student loans and the G6! Hoping to pay them off as soon as we can. I am trying to coupon, but haven't been doing it a lot lately. I really enjoy it though! Got my best deal while I was in MO! Paid 0.16 for a bunch of stuff! It seems to be a lot harder here for some reason... probably because we have one grocery store and a Wal-Mart. I am also going to school right now for medical billing and coding! I am really excited!

The new vehicle is a Buick Century (don't hate!) and we got it from my gma! Mom and I flew to Texas to get it and pick up gma in Feb! It was a lot of fun and the first time I had been to Texas! Got to see Padre Island and I would really like to go back. The trip was long considering mom had flown to NC to drive back to MO with me and not even a day later we flew to TX. Gah! But it was fun nonetheless and worth it! Got quality mom and gma time in!

After Nic got back we decided to take a vacation together in August! We went to NYC!!! It was super crowded and the people are crazy, but it was a lot of fun! I really enjoyed seeing all the sights in person that I had heard about or seen on tv! We go to see the Statue of Liberty, Times Square, Grand Central Station, and more! I loved it! I even went inside a big and fancy Tiffany store, a Rolex store, and a giant Toys R Us! My favorite thing was probably seeing Wicked on Broadway!!!!!!!!!!!! That was the best show ever!!!!

We got to go home for Thanksgiving and that was really nice! We enjoyed seeing everyone and spending at least one holiday with them! We celebrated Christmas with my family while we were there and really appreciated them working with us! Nic's family came here for Christmas! That was a lot of fun, but we definitely had a full house! We got to show them the pretty ocean, go on ferry rides, and see other stuff! We had a great Christmas and really enjoyed the company! Gavin (Nic's nephew) stayed with us another week after everyone else left. It was great to see him as we don't see him often. We took him back to SC and got to see some pretty sites there too! Swan Lake is beautiful!

I think that about sums it up. I'm sure I forgot something, but I did my best! Oh! I recently started selling Jewelry in Candles! They are great! 100% soy and burn for over 100 hours! Not to mention the jewelry surprise that comes in them! You even get to pick if you want a ring, necklace, or earrings! We have tarts too! How awesome is that? I love them, but haven't had much luck selling them... hopefully things will pick up soon!
